Reef Sculptures
Using the Right Materials
Our sculptures are made with an inert, pH neutral artificial reef compound. This provides a stable substrate for coral, sponges and biomass to settle. These special habitats were created to provide homes for the local marine species to seek comfort.

Our artificial reef does more than showcase art. It's a carefully designed marine sanctuary. By integrating species-specific habitat spaces within the sculptures, we've created a protective zone where marine life can thrive. This innovative approach helps reduce tourist pressure on St Maarten's natural reefs while providing an engaging way to connect visitors and the local community with marine conservation efforts.

Every sculpture in our underwater gallery was literally life cast and a handpicked member of St Maarten's vibrant community, making them an integral part of this unique project. The revenue generated from visitors exploring our marine park is purposefully reinvested back into the local community, with a special focus on ocean education and conservation initiatives.
An immediate hit with the marine life
Early Days on the Reef
It didn't take long for the local marine life to take to the artificial reef. The sculptures were an instant hit, providing protection, refuge and a source of food for a range of marine life. As time has gone on, coral and plant grow has thrived and more characters come to visit.
